The e-BlueInfo application manages and disseminates the clinical practice and public health guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), in support of work processes and decision-making informed by health professionals and managers, with the aim of achieving compliance with the goals of the third United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG3).
The information identified and selected, which is disseminated through e-BlueInfo, is reviewed and validated by the PAHO team of experts.
Health guidelines and clinical practice and public health guidelines produced by WHO and PAHO are published and disseminated through e-BlueInfo.
The app documents are obtained from BIGG, the international database of clinical practice guidelines based on the GRADE methodology (https://sites.bvsalud.org/bigg/biblio/), an information source of the Virtual Health Library (VHL). GRADE is a system for rating the certainty in the body of evidence in clinical practice guidelines and formulating health recommendations, offering a transparent and structured process to develop and present summaries of the evidence and to carry out the steps that involve the formulation of recommendations. It can be used to develop clinical practice guidelines (CPG) and other recommendations in the health area (eg public health, systems and public policies).
The collection brings together more than 200 documents grouped according to the targets of SDG3: maternal health, child health, communicable diseases, non-communicable diseases, substance abuse, traffic accidents, sexual and reproductive health, universal health coverage, environmental pollution, smoking, drug and vaccine development, health personnel, national and global catastrophes.
